"Creativity is contagious, pass it on."
Stanton L'Hoste is a native New Orleanian. His focus on his art career began when he left Jesuit each day to attend NOCCA in high school. He went on to get his BFA in studio art at LSU where he narrowed his focus on oil painting. For more than decade after college, Stanton spent his creative energy investing in his community and the church, but his mind was never far from his art. He maintained a studio at his home where he would work when he could, developing a series of paintings that pay homage to the Mardi Gras Indian tradition in New Orleans. In 2021, after the pandemic, he decided to give painting his full attention. Stanton's work can sometimes be realistic and representational but can also be very abstract. His creative nature reflects his Creator and he hopes to leave a mark on this city and the art world.
